I tried on all the top helmets from Leedom, Boeri and others and found that this one fit me the best. So I bought it. I haven't been disappointed. This helmet has been great for me over the last few years.

This is a full-coverage helmet. Very full-coverage. I believe Briko does offer other models with removable ear flaps, etc. Your noggin is fully encased in this helmet. But it's not uncomfortable at all. After the first few days wearing this lump, I got to the point where I forgot it was even there. It's lightweight, warm, and plushly lined.

The only time I don't like wearing it is on warm spring days. It has some nicely designed ventilation features, but it can't overcome the warmth that it affords on cold days.

I also had to buy new goggles to go with this helmet. My old goggles were too wide for the face opening. I found some smith 'Triad' goggles that fit perfectly. They claim to be specially designed to work with helmets. They've worked well for me.

Final comment is the looks. Obviously not as important a concern as safety and fit, but it's still something to consider. This helmet looks a bit techy/dorkey in my opinion. It definitely leans towards the world cup ski racing scene (Bode Miller wears one) rather than the freeride/extreme scene. I can put up with it; but I'd prefer something less techy-looking.

For me though, this helmet just fit my head perfectly. The comfort has been fantastic. Light, warm and full protection. Nice product.
