Dirtbags and mountain professionals alike find the Guide Pants indispensable for go-anywhere and do-anything epics. The stretch-woven fabric has excellent give for the motions of climbing and skiing; it's breathable, weather-resistant and withstands gnarled alpine terrain. The soft, brushed interior provides next-to-skin comfort and a clean, low-bulk waistband is designed to ride smoothly under a harness. The gusseted bottom cuffs have flap-protected 10" reverse-coil DWR (durable water repellent) zippers, scuff guards, gripper-elastic and tie-down loops to seal out snow. The glued-on thigh pocket closes with a glued-in, reverse-coil DWR zipper. We also glue in the reverse-coil DWR zippered hand pockets. 2-way fly for easier harness-wearing relief and wide, contoured belt loops that don't chafe under a loaded pack, and a trim, shaped fit that still allows for light underlayers.
