Product Description

The low-profile Women's Lightning Ascent snowshoes by MSR provide female trekkers with the traction, maneuverability, and agility needed for strenuous and challenging backcountry pursuits in steep, unforgiving terrain.

Features & Specifications

FRAME/DECK:

The durable and lightweight aluminum 360° Traction frame is tailored specifically for a woman's narrower gait and allows for mastery of any terrain, thanks to deep-sinking teeth integrated in the frame along the outside edge and underneath. The deck is made of lightweight and waterproof urethane-impregnated nylon with a reinforced heel area.

BINDING:

MSR's PosiLock AT bindings work with any footwear type, sizes 4.5 to 14 (35.5 to 48), providing the most secure, freeze-resistant attachment system that MSR offers. All materials are waterproof, so they won't become heavy or freeze.

CRAMPON:

The powder-coated steel crampons grip with precision and provide stability by reducing heel drift.

HEEL LIFT:

The Ergo Televator heel lifts snap into place with a flick of a pole, limiting heel and calf strain during steep ascents.

FLOTATION TAILS:

Compatible flotation tails (sold separately) allow for more even weight distribution when traveling over deep snow or carrying heavy loads.

Love these snowshoes
I've worn these during spring thaw in the White Mts., during peak season in the Rockies, and they've served me well in every instance. The heel lift makes steep ascents much easier, and once the straps are locked in place, these shoes stay on your boots.
