A very good two-pole crossover design that creates a sturdy frame while minimizing weight. It has abundant mesh on the top and sides of the tent that provide excellent ventilation and comes with a Weathertec and UV treated tent fly, which has a large PVC window on the door.
Large vestibule part of fly and tent remains water resistant even when not fully tied down. Has polyurethane coated floor and inverted seams with inside stitches. Seams come factory sealed with Weathertec.

Untitled ReviewI found the workmanship just as good as more expensive tents I have owned in the past and the seams were very well sealed. I have only redone once since I bought the tent.
It is very roomy on the inside, which is great when winter or alpine camping and the tent remains water resistant even when the external tie downs are not used. As well it is not too tall which means it doesn’t blow about very much. As it is mostly mesh it does not ice up like some other tents I have used in extreme cold –40c but still manages to keep somewhat warm if you tuck the fly under the snow. When wet it dries quickly and does not seem to crack or tear when frozen or extremely cold –40c.
I liked the vestibule most of all as one can remove boots, cook etc while still being in shelter a real bonus in winter or other nasty weather. As it has a full vent on the vestibule one can run a lantern or stove in it without too much problem with CO.
It is a little bit of a mystery to set up at first and it is easy to get it wrong so some practice is required. In high wind it sets up just as easy as any other so called easy set up tents I have used in the past. It also packs up very small only about 12-16 inches by 4 or 5. The poles of course are the problem and I have to store them externally on my pack. They are not cheap though and make for great probing wands when crossing your local crevasse field after a snowfall.
Though not as light as some like; if one gets rid of the useless tin pegs that come with it and invest in more expensive graphite or AL poles you weight will come down some.
I have yet to see this model on the US Coleman site or any other US stores so it seems to me it is for the Canadian market only. It can be bought on line at Canadian Tire.
