Still Love EmThey are very durable having survived a couple of crampon strikes that sliced my gaiters and left my calf bruised. I like the six zipper design which lets me vent fast and easy. The venting is really important because I don't think the XCR breaths well enough to keep my dry and cool when working hard so I often zip the side open a large amount. The drop seat is nice and easy to use so if you have to drop load its fast and however painless the weather will let it be. The knee is well designed allowing for a large range of movement w/o restricting. I have used them for camping, hiking, mountaneeing and ice climbing and recommend them.
After years using these pants I still feel the same way. If you can get em then do it.
