Route Climbed: North Face Couloir Date Climbed: ~June 1 2005  Sucess!

Climbed this with 'peakguru'. Nearly perfect kick snow on this ascent. Steepness was sustained at 60 degrees. Encountered a little water ice-about eight feet-maybe halfway up. There was still a cornice on the short couloir leading to the north ridge above the apron, as well as slide debris on the apron-including a snow/ice boulder the size of a car. We began with running belays but switched to simul-solo for speed after a bowling ball came down ten meters to the right of us. Exit of the couloir was snow-no cornice. Our six a.m. start from the Spruce Creek trailhead was too late, four a.m. would have been better.

Route Climbed: Entire E. Ridge from McCullough Gulch Date Climbed: mid-July, 1992  Sucess!

An interesting outing, before the days of guidebooks to the area (other than Quandary). Parked in McCullough Gulch and wandered up the hillside, past the entrance to an abandoned mine, to where the high crest of the rocky E. Ridge begins. This is a long, bumpy ridge which deposits you on the tundra near Pacific Tarn. I reversed the route on descent.

Route Climbed: West Ridge Date Climbed: September 3, 1990  Sucess!

A very nice route, with a bit of everything: Trail approach, bushwhack through willows, a scree slope to reach the ridge and then a beatiful ridge on mostly solid rock. We climbed and descended the same route.

Route Climbed: Crystal-Pacific-Atlantic Date Climbed: November 15, 2004  Sucess!

This peak was definitely the hardest of the 3 (Crystal, Pacific, Atlantic), and most impressive! Lots of fun but wrestling with all the snow and ice tired me out.

Route Climbed: McCullough Gulch from Highway 9 Date Climbed: October 23, 2004  Sucess!

Decided to hike from the highway for a longer outing with friend. The new snow made the traveling a bit slower and left the headwall ice covered with 5 inches of new snow. First climbed Atlantic then Pacific. Had the whole are to ourselves and found looking down the North face to be awesome.

Route Climbed: Mayflower gulch to Crystal, Pacific, then Atlantic. Date Climbed: June 6, 2004  Sucess!

Still a fair amount of snow in the valleys, but a nice hike. Great view of Quandry from the entire ridgeline.

Route Climbed: Crystal-Pacific-Atlantic from Mayflower Gulch Date Climbed: June 6 2004  Sucess!

Great hike! The ridge isn't nearly as steep as it looks in the pictures.

Route Climbed: North Ridge, descent south to Atlantic Date Climbed: May 22, 2004  Sucess!

Spectacular! Not a soul anywhere in the Mayflower Gulch area (at least at 6am). Good, hard snow let me ascend directly to the north ridge from the west side and made the summit by 10am. Thanks to Aaron Johnson's beta, I had no trouble finding the route. Continued on to Atlantic. Warming temps and steady sun started to make the snow mushy and I postholed quite a bit on the descent. Great trip! Trip report and photos here.

Route Climbed: West Ridge Date Climbed: October 27, 2001  Sucess!

The 3rd class west ridge looks much more rugged than it actually is. The routefinding is enjoyable on the lower half, but watch out for loose rock. The upper half is more stable but has some ridiculous exposure. Enjoy one of the best 3rd class routes in the Tenmile Range

Route Climbed: Atlantic to Pacific Peak Date Climbed: October 21, 2000  Sucess!

This was and still is one of my favorite CO mountains. She's majestic, has a number of different routes and doesn't get much foot traffic. This first trip up was simply incredible.

Route Climbed: North Ridge Date Climbed: July 1, 2001  Sucess!

Best Ten Mile Mountain out there! Pacific is pretty and fun. Ray dog chased butterflies on the summit on a perfect summer morning. Done in conjunction with "Atlantic Peak". Jon Bradford

Route Climbed: North Ridge Date Climbed: October 1, 2003  Sucess!

I love this mountain. The North Ridge is a fun route with a little Class 2 "scampering" towards the top and a few simple Class 3 moves to gain the true summit via a short gully. I'm looking forward to returning to Pacific and trying the West Ridge route. I approached the North Ridge route from the east, which makes for a long day, but the angle of the view of Pacific's awesome Northeast face from the Crystal-Father Dyer ridge is worth it.

Route Climbed: McCollough Gulch Date Climbed: July 20, 2003  Sucess!

A great hike in a spectacular setting. The snowfield at the top of the gulch made things interesting for my friend and his dog.

Route Climbed: Mayflower Gulch to North Ridge Date Climbed: June 22, 2003  Sucess!

What a cool mountain - one of the coolest I have climbed so far. Kane is correct, it is harder than it looks. We first bushwhacked the willows into submission - creek was running strong and that early in the morning all the rocks were icy making the crossing a bit tricky. We headed up Mayflower creek and then traversed the west slopes across many many snow fields and then finally up the north ridge. The view of the notch is awesome (hope the pix come out good). The final ascent across the notch and up the summit are great. What a fun and challenging hike.

Route Climbed: North ridge via Mayflower Gulch Date Climbed: June of 2001  Sucess!

Pacific Peak is such a stately mountain to look at! It looks harder than it is to climb. It's lower neighbor Crystal Peak is a definate worthwhile side trip. The views of the backside bowls of Copper Mountain are really cool. I enjoyed this hike more than Fletcher and Drift, but not much more.
