The reputation of the Catwalk in many of the things you read on-line is probably worse than the actual section of the route if you are comfortable scrambling. It does have some Class 3 sections and there is some exposure but there is a well-worn route through there that keeps the exposure down. If you ever look at a move or over a spot where you think the trail goes and think "Boy, that looks really ugly"... then you're off the correct route. You should never have to make a really dicey move when it's snow free. Lots of goats go across there and the goat hair that rubs off on the rocks and trees provides some convenient marks for the proper way to go.

Untitled CommentI would think it would be a glacier climb in the Oly's, but I guess not this one. I have viewed the mountain several times.
