Re: Wow!

Thanks Radek. Actually, it's still a work in progress. I'm trying to dream up ways to improve it. Suggestions?

Name change?

Now that SPv2 can take longer names for group pages, I would change the name of the page to Zion National Park instead of Zion Nat´l Park. Would help with the search function.

Good page.

Re: Awesome Work

Thanks Bryan. I appreciate the kind words. I've kind of let my SP pages fall into neglect lately, though. I'm glad the information is still useful. It's a wonderful park.

nice

i'm headed to zion tomorrow actually thanks for the great info on this page, i'm sure the note you have about showers will be money. might be worth mentioning: if you don't want to pay the $16 for the campground, there's BLM land just south of the park called "mosquito cove" alongside the river between mile markers 23 and 24 on HWY 9

Re: nice

Indeed, there is Mosquito Cove but I have never (and will never) stay there. Absolutely, disgustingly filthy with human feces.

Something Missing?

This page virtually ignores the main feature (or at least main tourist attraction) of Zion National Park - Zion Canyon.

Re: Something Missing?

Really? The longest chapter on the page is about the canyon:

http://www.summitpost.org/zion-national-park/171229#chapter_3

The page's focus is on peaks and the canyoneering, not on hikes and tourist attractions, so if something like that is what seems to be missing, the page won't have something on that anytime soon.

Re: Something Missing?

The "Overview," which is the first "chapter" doesn't even mention Zion Canyon and among all of the photos there isn't a single one of Zion Canyon. Peaks and canyoneering are definitely important for this site, but so are hikes and every page should have a bit of a general introduction so that readers will know a bit more about a location beyond the climbing aspect.

Several of the photos I see were taken from Zion Canyon. The photo of Great White Throne, for example is one of the classic shots and attractions of Zion Canyon and was taken right from the canyon.

Re: Something Missing?

I wrote "of" the canyon, not "from" the canyon.
