Sugarloaf

It might be worth mentioning on the page that all locals know this peak as "Sugarloaf". The name Pavant/Pahvant Butte is never used locally (my family is from Delta).

Any additional information on this one would be appreciated, especially regarding the windmill background. It was amazing to see all that cement up there.

Sugarloaf windmill background

These towers are the remains of a defunct wind farm that was suppose to generate power for nearby towns. In 1923 a man was hired by Millard County to build the structure. The contractor started construction of the project and then left the country with the rest of the money. The contractor was never to be seen again. Sadly the windmill site was never completed. The concept was truly ahead of it's time.
