Re: brass wall &Thank you. Doesn't it. It's such a beauty. When I started hiking/scrambling in Red Rocks, I left Mescalito for later on purpose for several years just so I have something special to look forward to and I wasn't disappointed.
BTW, did you see any wildlife on your recent trip to Red Rocks?

unfortunately no - not a bighorn, not a burro. Weird? Guess 1.5 days is not long enough maybe to get lucky??

Re: brass wall &Well, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. My latest spotting of bighorns was on October 1, but none in September. They are generally much more elusive now than in spring.
A lot of the burros have been relocated but there is still a small amont of them around.
