Patteriol south face (normal route) solo  Sucess!

Wonderful climb with moderate difficulty (UIAA II) in a beautiful landscape. For experienced climbers no problem to go without a rope. Short route description:
Start is at the base of the south face, on the lowest rocks. After climbing up there a bit, one has to do a long and quite exposed traverse to the west (good rock quality here). Then a steep and narrow couloir leads upwards. A short passage with some smooth and sloping rocks leads to large field of scree. Traverse this in northeastern direction and climb up some easy rocks until you reach the ridge between the horn and the south summit. A crack is leading down there on the other side. Climb down a little more and traverse the south summit on its nortwestern side (bad rock quality here, be careful). One reaches the saddle between the summit and the south summit. Follow the ridge to the top.
