Route Climbed: North Slopes Date Climbed: October 16, 2005  Sucess!

Great climb with Chris Gerber and Charles of Danforth. Some ugly post-holing to the summit ridge, but all good from there. Gorgeous weather.

Route Climbed: North Slopes Date Climbed: 16-Oct-2005  Sucess!

Came up from Crystal Lakes with CharlesD and pksander. Beautiful day. Lots of postholing... last week's storm was a big producer here!

Route Climbed: East Ridge from base of Falcon Chair at Breckenridge Date Climbed: July 4, 2004  Sucess!

I started much lower than the route described here. It was about 3 hours to the summit, following the Falcon chairlift on the lower section and then the upper ridge from there. Took my tele's with me and skied 4th of July bowl and what was left of Billy's bowl. hitched a ride down on a 4x4 at about the halfway point.

Route Climbed: From Breckenridge Date Climbed: September 4, 2004

From Breckenridge, followed the ski lifts up to the base of the summit of Peak 10 where I ran into a 4WD road that went up the eastern ridgeline of Peak 10. Weather did not look good and at this point sleet/snow began and it became foggy. Followed the road to the top of it at 13340 ft where I was stuck in dense fog and had to turn back.

Route Climbed: Via Father Dyer and Crystal, SW Ridge- East Ridge Loop Date Climbed: 5 September and 17 May, 2005  Sucess!

17 May 2005:

I started at the Spruce Creek TH and originally intended to climb Crystal. Once I approached the saddle, the weather began to go bad with heavy clouds and high winds. I instead decided to bag Peak 10 and descend it's east ridge back to the TH. Great outing.

5 September 2005:

After climbing Father Dyers Class 3 Northeast Ridge, I travered over to Crystal and then on to Peak 10. From here I climbed Peak 9 and returned to the Spruce Creek TH via the Wheeler Trail.

Route Climbed: East Ridge Date Climbed: June 23, 2002  Sucess!

I climbed this route, then descended to steep, loose north ridge (not recommended) and was fortunately able to take advantage of a 500' steep glissade on a northeast facing snowfield, to the base. I had to traverse back to the west to intersect the grassy south slopes of Peak 9 which I followed to it's summit. I made the roundtrip from my truck at the Wheeler Trail TH in 4-1/2 hours.

Route Climbed: East Ridge Date Climbed: March 27, 2004  Sucess!

Climbing in mostly white-out conditions was a test of our abilities, and we had to forego the traverse to Crystal Peak afterward. The crux of the day was getting from Upper Crystal Lake down to Lower Crystal Lake because steep, icy gullies covered the road, which we were using for our descent. A trip report is available here.

Many Trips

I've climbed and skied this peak 30+ times. Can't beat it for access and great corn in the spring / summer.
