Altair > Standhope > The Fin > Recess  Sucess!

Ascended the north ridge, descended the south ridge--which is surprisingly class2. Should be noted that Point 11887 is probably not the summit so that's probably not the elevation. There's a larger 11880' contour (850' to the north) with a small tower within it, and it appears higher from every perspective. A detail-oriented climber should visit both.

Nice area  Sucess!

Sort of planned to do Standhope as well, but decided to turn back after hitting just this one. Despite how crazy it looks, it's really not such a bad climb.

North Ridge of The Fin  Sucess!

Backpacked in to Baptie Lake the prior day. Had originally only planned to climb Standhope and Altair on day 2, but when I saw 11887 I knew I'd regret it if I didn't at least give it a shot. Went up the north ridge and figured I'd just turn around if it got too dicey. Fortunately it all worked out. It was a very fun climb and the views down on Goat Lake were a definite highlight.

Also climbed the other two peaks before the day was over. At the end of the day I was pretty tired physically and mentally so it was a good thing I started with the toughest peak first. Trip Report
