Great Fall day  Sucess!

Stellar late summer day grabbing Bridal and UN 13,159. Beautiful basin. But that's one hell of a steep approach trail.

Lovely hike  Sucess!

Great hike with my son to Columbine Lake (I took a nap there, but flies were bothersome). My son then headed down and I continued onto Columbine Pass and Bridal Peak (= T 11). Very nice peak (easy) with amazing views, and a nice sort of a trail (no scree!!!). Will come back. Good place to go for a jog.

Columbine Lake  Sucess!

Columbine Lake trail up to the summit of Bridal Peak (the new official name for PT 13510 as of March 2014) and then traversed across the basin and up over PT 13159 for a lovely two-peak day.

Peak 13510 ft (T11)  Sucess!

The forecast called for sunshine but started the day cloudy. Once I went above tree-line, lightning and thunder began. It did not look good at all. I did not want to give up so I waited for 15 minutes. Fortunately lightening stopped. As I reached the summit, it became sunny. Spectacular scenery.
