First trip, ended up at Stanage!
Date given is most recent visit I can recall when I traversed Kinder Scout with 'Mr Woof'. Many visits to Kinder Scout and a few to Bleaklow starting as a child circa 1968. Numerous visits in 1970's and 1980's to gritstone crags e.g. Millstone Edge, Lawrencefield Quarry, Agden Roche... and first paragliding experiences on the hills above Hathersage starting in 1989...
Parking place at Owler Tor - Mother Cap - Over Owler Tor - Higger Tor - Overstones Farm - Hathersage. 8 km walk in stormy and frigid wheather on this spectacular land.
Stanage, Hen Cloud & the Roaches, Cheedale, Stoney Middleton, Dovedale - so many areas to climb gritstone and limestone cliffs.
Great walking too.
I have used the Peaks for training for longer overseas trekking trips in the past.
Don't often get to the Peak, but I have climbed at a few crags in the area including Stanage and the Roaches.
