Route Description
From the upper parking lot, walk over to the top of the lower ski lift. This lift starts at the lower parking lot. Right next to this lift is a road. Follow the
road as it heads straight uphill for a short distance next to the middle ski lift. The road soon begins to switchback, and it switchbacks all the way up to the
top of the upper ski lift at 8,280’.
From the top of the upper ski lift, you will basically head straight uphill through the thick vegetation. The attached trip report indicates that there is a climbing path up to the ridge, but I never found it. There are some cliffs above the lift that must be bypassed either to the right or left. Climb up the
steep slope to the ridge, then turn right. Follow the easy ridge to the summit of Bonneville Peak. There’s a
small building on top.
Hiking Distance: About 7 miles roundtrip.
Elevation Gain: About 2,700’.
