Pelican Butte Benchmark (OR)

Earlier in the day I had been on Aspen Butte to the south of Pelican Butte and was fascinated by the difference in the benchmarks found on each one. Check out this beautiful benchmark found on Aspen Butte compared to the one here shown from the top of Pelican Butte (found just east of the lookout structure. It appears that better quality materials were used back in the 1920's as compared with the 1960's. 10-6-06
