Patient

Myzantrope must be a pretty patient person. Many times when I am trying to take a pciture of an animal I get tired of waiting, move suddenly and scare them. . .

what gives?

While the penguins I know anything about (& not much there) are the Empiror penguins, this kind doesn't waddle around on ice & jump into the ocean to eat fish? More of a warm-weather bird? Nice shot!

These little pinguins (about 30cm high) live in the southern atlantic area. Especially in the Southern part of South America and Sout Africa.
