Great views. Easy scramble. Had the summit to ourselves at 7 p.m. Love being on the Alpine Ridge.

Always a great climb!
Left early and summitted just after sunrise. Perfect weather. First time on the Pfeiff. Awesome!
Went in Thursday afternoon and camped at the Upper Red Pine Lakes. Headlamps for an early morning start up the spur ridge and then up to the top - nice going during the week - hardly anyone there. Fall colors are starting and the area looks beautiful.
w/ Kiersten and boss, not sure of date
2 - 8/4/18 - via Red Pine to Beatout
This is a nice hike. The trail is steep in parts. There were mountain goats all over which made it really entertaining. I did this summit with Robert and Shawn.
6/27/14- I went to this summit again as part of the Beatout Route.
Took the standard route (East ridge) to the top. Perfect weather. Enjoyed a Pfeifferhorn Lager from Epic Brewing company.
My wife and I summit a different local peak for our anniversary. this was #10. we hiked up and camped above the lake on a snow field. We summited the next morning and started back down to miss the throngs of people coming up for the 24th holiday. good times with the wifey.
This was our second attempt, we made it this time! This was the 11th summit with my son (Apexrock) who is signed in below me.
Second attempt, first time was this past April.
09/23/2012: via North Ridge (amazing day!)
07/01/09: Via Red Pine and East Ridge
Have climbed numerous times in the summer and winter
Via the Beatout
Added onto the Bullion Divide
Climbed the PIG with byates
June 6, 2008: Did the NW Couloir with Brian (dunsum) after bailing on a Colorado trip due to impending snow.
November 22, 2008: Did the N Ridge with marauders and pocketsofblue. This was my third attempt at this ridge--I was really getting tired of walking into Maybird Gulch. Worth the wait though--the climbing was easy enough to simulclimb the entire route, but interesting enough to get your attention.
Climbed it a number of times, but it's been way to long now. Have to do it this year.
It was a great way to spend the Labor Day! I went with fellow SPer kteichert and his wife. We hit the TH at 7:15am, and reached the summit promptly at 10:15am. The knife-edge on the east ridge wasn't as bad as I thought, although care must be taken when crossing it. The final push to the summit looked nearly impossible when viewed from the saddle between White Baldy and Pfeifferhorn, but once again, when we got there, it wasn't bad at all! A great scramble, with fun boulder hopping, and outstanding summit views, especially of Broads Fork Twin Peaks, Sunrise Peak (O'Sullivan Peak) to the north, Lone Peak to the west, Box Elder Peak to the south, and White Baldy from the east. After about an hour on the summit, we headed down, taking us two hours to arrive back at our car. I look forward to doing this one again!
Finally I can check Pfeifferhorn off the must-do list. I can see it from my house in Alpine and have always wanted to do it. Went up via Red Pine Lake. Despite heavy suggestions to not bring dogs, I brought my dog Ginger. She made the trip much more enjoyable. Now she has done Provo, Box Elder, Reids Peak, Cascade, Bald Mountain and Pfeifferhorn.
