Photo taken 12 December 2004. Looking west toward Griffith Peak from the Harris Springs / Griffith Peak trail. Griffith Peak was out of range that day, so I hiked up to Harris Peak (out of picture to the right). This section of trail is on the south-southwest slope, so it is much more snow-free than the road to the trailhead, which traverses some northeast-facing slopes. The snow on the top of Harris Peak (just over 10,000 feet) was at least three feet deep.
