probably going back this winter to escape the permafrost up here, and to climb old school bullet ice at lee vining.

Yes, back to Summer conditions in the Sierras!

Deb, please post some pics of your Milestone/Midway trip, if you would.

Also, if I wanted to climb Williamson and Tyndal, then continue on to Wright Lakes Basin, would I be better off going via Shepherd Pass or George Creek? It will be a multi-day trip. This is an area i'm unfamiliar with.

Marmaduke... I've yet to meet anyone who gives a rats ass that I did those summits, unless they are wanting some info for their own trip. But I like having done them.

BTW I took this pic last Sunday. Do you recognize it Marmaduke?

Shepherd Pass, camp in Williamson Bowl. Climb Trojan and Barnard while you are there if you have time.

Either trail access will work but I think Shepherd Pass will be the "most comfortable." Great spot to camp for both peaks then just pack up and head downhill to Wrights Lakes maybe 5 miles away. No shortage of water out there either. :)

Why not? Bob Burd has a trip report that speaks to the class 3 route for some beta.

Well I know that peak, my favorite "California non-SP page peak". I want to get there.........Planning on Ritter and Banner in early September with my nephew. Maybe I'll get luck and still climb it (The Citadel) and get the page

It wasn't my destination.

Why haven't YOU climbed it?

Vitaliy and I used to discuss climbing it... if for no other reason than so you'd see our names on it as you got there. Sounds like we still have plenty of time for that later on!
