It wasn't my destination.

Why haven't YOU climbed it?

Vitaliy and I used to discuss climbing it... if for no other reason than so you'd see our names on it as you got there. Sounds like we still have plenty of time for that later on!

There's some technical routes up for Vitaliy too. No good reason, but maybe in October, but then weather is problematic. I'm Tahoe this week (leave tomorrow), then first week of September Banner and Ritter, the last week of September I'm in Yosemite. Can only take so much time off. I don't work for Cheveron

I feel like that women that climb have more issues than a woman in general.

At least, that's what SP teaches me.

does anyone know anything about sprains/pulled muscles/whatever it is in the area right behind the knee?

I didn't do the proper stretches before dayhiking Deerhorn (after taking a week off because of bad cold) and did some trail running on the approach and I feel that's when it must have happened. It was giving me a great deal of pain on the hike out, making me so fortunate I did not commit to an even longer day with more peaks.

Thought it would go away by now, but I still feel it, although not as severe/painful. Hope its not a big problem.

The reason I mentioned "dayhiking" and "after taking a week off because of bad cold" is because it might be relevant to the injury.

Doing a very long day straight off without having been active for over a week and not doing a single bit of stretching before taking off, would be jumping into it/pushing it too much, therefore may heighten chances of injury.

btw, dayhiking Deerhorn is nothing to brag about, its a moderate dayhike by sierra-peak dayhike standards
