CA 2013 Alpine Ice Season Not Looking So Hot

Is it just me, or is this looking unusually bad?

Red Slate's couloir has ice from bottom to top, may only be an inch thick, but it's there!
And FWIW, Lamarck's north face been holding frozen snow for over 2 weeks now, I'll bet that couloir is scary doable mixed conditions (like when I did it 6 years ago in Oct).

hmm, good to know about Red Slate Couloir. That and Emerson had me tempted, but I am wondering about the odds of catching a rock falling from the garbage zone at the top in my face! A friend has been trying to talk me into Morrison, and I'm wondering which one is less iffy to end the season on. :o

At least Red Slate isn't as steep as Bloody, so the rocks will fall slower. ;)

BTW, Bloody's couloir is filled in with fresh snow right now and Lamarck is looking pretty white as well. :)
