Canada goose (TEI4) for Elbrus

by TecD » Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:10 pm

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to find information about canada goose parkas (TEI4 -15/-25 celsius) and their suitability for mountaineering. I'm planning to go to Eblrus in April. Do you have any opinions or experiences on mountaineering with canada goose parkas? I know expedition is used, but are the other models functional too?

Thanks.

Can't say I knew much about them so I did a little research. Interesting story and the coats look bomber but it appears the company is moving towards being a Prada/Gucci verses a Western Mountaineering. They went from a 3 million dollar company in 2001 to over a 200 million dollar company recently and have sold a majority of the company to Bain Capital, a US investment firm. Not saying this has anything to do with their quality currently but I also don't think you need to come close to spending those sorts of dollars. Now, if you were moving to Baffin island...
