In the Cascades, you can get into all sorts of trouble/fun. Mixed, hard rock, easy rock, Ice, Tons of Alpine Ice....

True. Which is why I prefer the High Sierra. Climbing in the Cascades can be pretty painful at times. Logistics, weather, approaches, descents, etc.

The High Sierra is for alpinists who are rock-climbers at heart. The Cascades are for alpinists who are ice climbers at heart.
