Currency

Hi, I'm going to the Sunset Beach Resort, Montego Bay on Oct 14th and having never been to Jamaica before I wondered if anyone could advise me on the best currency to take. Are US dollars widely accepted or will we need Jamaican dollars?

It would be nice to hear from anyone going to the resort at the same time as us too.
