Gearing up for some trips.

We have a few younger resident volunteers at our fire station who have never really done any mountaineering. Both have varying backgrounds in outdoor activities, but now both of them want to learn more, especially about mountaineering. One has done plenty of backpacking and some sport climbing/bouldering, the other has been skiing for most of his life and spends days hanging out between 7-10K'. We've started planning a few trips this year, and they are both super stoked to go. First is going to be a South Sister overnighter after the road is open and we get some stretches of decent weather. Next is going to be a day trip up Thielsen in June, followed by Jefferson in July or August. Somewhere along the way might be another trip to McLaughlin, and possibly an Adams overnighter. Mixed in here and there will be some sport/trad climbing trips since our skier doesn't have much experience with ropes. I've been enjoying the planning and hopefully I can teach these guys a few things.
