Goals that will happen though are:
1. Going to Colorado for a few days in May and climbing as much as possible before I must return
2. Doing a climbing trip with the kids maybe in Quebec because they want to see the caribou
3. Another trip to Katahdin because it's kind of a tradition at this point
4. If at all possible go back to Yosemite this summer

sure not a grandiose list but it's an attainable one with kids and work....why do I feel so old?

I flew over 40,000 air miles in 2011and that included ZERO business trips. All vacation travel. I'd like to beat that number in 2012.

instead of going for a winter mountaineering course in socttland,so i can bone up on ice and mixed skills(army reserves came right on my holiday)
illl do a seconed trad climbing course in wadi ram, jorden 4 days.
climb at least two weekends in wadi rum before summer and complete "beauty" 6a trad 13pitches
summer season go to chamonix and aim for aig. de la repulic aig. du diable grand capucin and grand jorasess traverse or NF depending on condition and maybe if find the courage puatery integral.

wow thats nice to get it all down in writing it almost makes it all possible.

2012:

-Move to Colorado (in three weeks)
-See old friends & meet new ones
-get a job
-hike,climb & Party with my friends as much as possible
- take off a portion of the summer to go on an extensive hiking/climbing trip with one of my good buddies.

this will do it for me.

So no scotland for you?

Other advice :-) Tradclimbing in North Wales!

yea UK seems further away from me as it has ever been.
have no time to spare this winter now that my vacation is bust, wadi ram is right next door and really doable on a tight schedguale plus its awosome!
other than that the closest world class climbing area in the vecinety is in calimnos greece sport oriented crags(had a bit too much of that this year).

cheers.
