For those who know (or care), Poncho & Lefkowitz is opening back up later this week. Mount Shasta's finest grub will once again fuel some great adventures...

I thought the Billy Goat was the best eats in Mt. Shasta. At least best atmosphere.

They changed the name. It is now just The Goat Tavern. It is great food and atmosphere, but (in my opinion) kicking back and looking at the mountain listening to great blues with the characters that run Poncho's is top notch. The food is great too.

I may give Poncho's a shot on my yearly trek up Shasta. But, call me what you will, I almost look forward to Black Bear as much as the mountain itself.
