Sometimes, there are a lot of posts to go through in the Calif section. How about a S Calif. Forum vs. an N Calif. Forum?

I think the majority of the posts in the California forum deal with the Sierra, which defy a north-south dichotomy. And as someone who travels a lot between north and south, I find it easier to go to a single forum rather than two. Also, it's interesting that I don't recognize any of the three people supporting this idea as anyone I've ever seen posting in the California forum. If you don't have much to contribute to a single forum, how much would you have to add to a bifurcated one?

Coming from the land of the Southwest (AZ, NM, NV, UT, TX) forum, I say... boo-hoo! :D

Well I post a fair amount. I think it would be nice though.... Becuase I always want to check and see whats going on locally in SoCal. In this instance, it would be nice to have seperate ones.

I'm far from a regular contributor, but how about splitting the California Forum into Sierra and Non-Sierra?

While I think everyone agrees that it's a big state, you're bound to get some hair splitting. Sure questions about Shasta or San Gorgonio are going to be easy to distinguisy. But if I ask a question about the Bishop area, is that No Cal or So Cal? How about climbing at the Needles?

Nice in theory; a little trickier in practice.

Please leave California together. For those who want So Cal info there are San Gabriel, San Gorgonio, San Jacinto....forums out there.

How about splitting it EAST of the SIERRA and WEST of the SIERRA ??? The far north could become part of southern Oregon ???

Lower than Death Valley must be.

Wrong about you, right about me.

Did you know the sun shines when it rains ...?"
