Insurance for Kilimanjaro?

by dpryan999 » Sat Oct 30, 2010 3:49 pm

I'm heading up Kilimanjaro in 10 days time. Any advice on good insurance providers, particularly for high-altitude incidents? Thanks!

I usually use this

http://www.all-travel.com/travelguard/

Kili is a backpacking mountain. Insurance-wise, huge difference.

You should check residency requirements.

I use IHI http://www.ihi.com for all my expeditions and overseas trips, they have an annual option which if you choose to go on expeditions or trekking world wide is even better value

thanks for the info. I'm going with IHI as they definitely said they would cover Kili. Travelguard was not as direct. here's hoping I won't need to use it!
