by AdamsKerr » Mon Oct 11, 2010 5:32 pm

Hey Everyone!

Im going to Jacks Canyon for the first time in a few days to photograph my universities mountaineering club fall break trip. does anyone know if there are solid trees, boulders etc at the top of any of the walls that i could set up a rappel anchor on?

thanks a million,

Kerr

There are tons of routes right next to each other where you could just have someone lead it and then you chill on top rope for photos. As for trees and stuff, they aren't as plentiful as most crags. There are even a few spots here and there we you could just scramble up for good photos. let me know if you have anymore questions

i did get the feeling from looking at photos that solid trees were somewhat scarce.

I think you'll have no problem, although it will depend on the route. Have fun. I just wnet for the first time. You can check my recent Jack's Canyon album for further pics, though they my not help.
