Koenigspitze - (Kurzer) Suldengrat (NW ridge)

by friend » Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:55 pm

Hello Everyone,
I have a question about Koenigspitze mountain. I want to climb its NW ridge (Kurzer Suldengrat) this may, just started to make a vast research about this route and cannot find anything about the descent. I truly doubt that once climbed, I would need to go down by taking the ascent route... I bet on the normal route from south, but it seems to me quite inconvenient to reach back the Quinto Alpini hut (which would be my starting point).
Or maybe, I'm missing somethnig? Has anyone of you climbed it already and can now share the information?
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I think you do go down to the south, but then there is a pass on the ridge to the east of the mountain that you can climb up after sleeping (something like 400 meters of climbing), then you can descend to your car in the north (Sulden).
