After an aborted Face attempt ,after dark I went up the cables for the first time when the full moon illuminated the Valley . It was an Ansel Adams Image .

So McDonald's doesn't serve hot dogs because the Mother Lode Country Sierra Club is sabotaging the wilderness permit lines for half dome, and killing squirrels?

When I was in Yosemite in 1984, I counted 1,982,900,231 pine cones. In 2007, I found only 1,672,933,871.

My thoughts exactly.... :?:

Dude, can someone PLEASE explain what the **** is the flippin' MLC SC? I'm so tired of reading that stupid acronym and not knowing what it stands for. I get "SC" is Sierra Club, but what about the first part?

Are these people really that bad? The way it sounds, they are responsible for just about everything detrimental to the Earth.

Thanks,

Gusto

Bad? Phew!

They, the MLC SC, are indeed horrible, almost as bad as the Grizzly bear, which used to roam California, and they did descend from Ursus Arctos Horribilis. They are now called MLC-SC Horribilis, and they are indeed responsible for most detrimental actions to fellow humans and the environment. At least in the state of California. Stay away. Stay far away.
For a guiding hand, and a lowdown on the evolution of this horrible monster,(plus maybe pics!), contact 1000Pks!

MLC = Mother Lode Chapter
http://motherlode.sierraclub.org/

I haven't decided if 1000Pks is serious about the MLC SC, or this is all tongue-in-cheek, a huge gag on SP. His comments on other topics are rational and usually quite helpful. It could be that the MLC SC stuff is an internet version of Tourette's syndrome.
