I climbed with Alasdair here in Canada, and he was really shook when he heard the news. It's nice to hear he will be able to fly back for the funeral. Very sad

You mean Alastair McDowell? Yea, heard they had set up a give a little account to try and get home.

They are starting to call the New Zealand Alpine team the death squad. They all keep dying left right and center.

Yes...my typing sucks. But yeah I have heard about many of them perishing. They are all cutting edge climbers though
