Climbing on Curacao

by stefaban » Fri Jul 14, 2017 12:53 pm

Hello all,

It seems this island is not very well known for climbing - is anyone climbing there? I'm trying to get in touch with climbers on Curacao.

Any information about climbing or bouldering locations is highly appreciated as well !

Regards Stefan

Most of the island is pretty flat, but there are crags and cliffs around Christoffelberg:

There is some solid rock there for climbing and bouldering. Unfortunately though, the weather will be always be really hot and humid for rock climbing, so make sure to do it early in the morning.

Near some of the beaches there are also some limestone cliffs that some people climb, but the rock is really sharp. Because of access issues, in some of those areas you are supposed to climb with a guide.

There's great scuba diving, snorkeling and wind surfing in Curacao... :)
