Deleting a posting or photo

by Bill Reed » Fri Mar 09, 2018 9:02 pm

Tried doing this on a classified post and some photos that were part of the post and can't figure out what it takes to do it. Clicked on the "options" box in the edit mode and nothing happens. Am I missing something?

After submitting a page for deletions, you should receive a message at the top of the page that your post or photo will be manually deleted. I'll get to it eventually...like now :)

Same thing happened to me. I experimentally tried to delete a photo last night but nothing happened. I checked this morning and the photo is still there. Question is, if deleting has to be done manually by Matt, then what happens if I decide to delete 5000 photos?

If you put in a request to delete that many at once, I'd probably contact you directly to make sure you intended to do so and then I'd write a script to delete them all at once.

OK, I made a mistake and want to delete this:

So I really can't do this myself?

You can't directly delete it yourself, but you can click on the link to delete it (same as always) and it will go in the deletion queue and will be deleted soon, usually within a few hours or a day.

If you click delete on the photo, it will be flagged for deletion and be deleted by the staff.

To remame images, click on the orange bar at the top of the page that says "Admin_Editor Options". Then click on "New Editor".

I didn't see any immediate option for deleting an image. Maybe I'm just missing it. I think you have to click on the orange Admin-Editor Options and then click "Delete This Page" at the far right.
