Not a bad list, but I would personally swap out a mini Bic lighter in lieu of matches, or a flint and steel, as matches can get wet. I would also swap out an LED headlamp with lithium batteries instead of a flashlight.

I think it's a little too basic and maybe a bit misguided.

Map and Compass. Know how to use the compass.

Itinerary left with someone.

Knife? I've NEVER seen anyone use a Swiss army knife since Boy Scouts back in the late 90s early 2000s. Either use a Leatherman or a good quality pocket knife.

Headlamp instead of flashlight.

Clothing? I'd say extra socks and the appropriate raingear/outerwear are more important than an extra shirt/pants/underwear.

Definitely a lighter over matches.

It also doesn't make sense to bring dehydrated meals if you don't have a pot, and stove if you don't make a fire, to heat up the water. Yes, you could stir in cold water and wait for a few hours, but it's senseless.
