Gracias Rafa, John Climber, Diego and all you other Spainish climbing brothers & sisters for all the helpfu beta in CHAPTER 1 of my forum on Pyrenees Climbing. The thread is getting as stale as a 10 day old baguette, so here's a new Chapter and theme:

The two Pyrenees mountains that offer the most inspirational multi-pitch (300 meters or more of sustained trad climbing) in the 5.6 to 5.7 (V- to V) range, with bomber quality of rock and not some mound of rubble, is in my opinion...VIGNEMALE and AIGUILLES D'ANSABERE.

Any thoughts?

I checked out that DESNIVEL website and it needs a ton of development...like photos, maps, route info...

But for now, perhaps you can tell me if VIGNEMALE is approachable from TORLA...?

Though I haven't done it Vignemale is approachable from Bujaruelo, wich is joined to the road A-136 by a forest trail (4 Km from Puente de los Navarros). Once in Bujaruelo follow Couloir de la Moskowa route. It's an easy climb but you should be careful with hard snow patches and the loose rock in some sections.

Note: Puente de los Navarros is 2 Km to the north of Torla.

Swifty, let me recommend you Vignemale-Bujaruelo. Search it to the left in that page (Buscar). If you can't buy online you'll find the map in Torla

Diego...do you have any experience in getting to VIGNEMALE from BALNEARIO DE PANTICOSA via the IBONES DE BRAMATUERO and the COLLADO DE LATRERO?

If so, what is the distance?

Elevation gain?

Required time to hike?

I answed privately to swifty about the long itinerary of Bramatuero-Vignemale (Diego, don't search about it)

About the rocky walls you must to consult the great page of Jonás Cruces (Todovertical) of
Vignemale Massif with a lot of routes of climb. I had a picture of this north face in my office and I see it all the days. It's beautfiull.

About the aiguilles d'Ansabere, you don't had page in SP but you can see some pictures in the page of Petrechema
