Hostels In El Chalten

by Dave Daly » Thu Aug 30, 2007 10:54 pm

Anyone been to El Chalten? Deb and I are heading to Argentina to climb on the Fitz Roy massif in January 2008 and, for obvious reasons, staying in El Chalten. We're looking to stay at a hostel or a reasonably priced place, that doesn't involve rowdy climbers/trekkers but more of a relaxed ambience....a place to wind down after coming back from climbing a few days and getting some good sleep and not be waken up by party's and whatnot. Any resources or links would be helpful....

cheers,
Dave

bed and breakfasts

If you're willing to pay more for a private room with bath, try either of the following two bed and breakfasts : Notofagus or Thiamalu. I enjoyed my time in both.
