Triglav, Topo

by AKM » Sun Jun 08, 2008 1:05 am

Hi, I'm looking for a guidebook / topo for climbing Triglav (Slo) this winter. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? An English language guide would be perfect, but not essential.

Have you already watched amazon.com or any other book selling site, maybe you can find a guide there.

I climbed/hiked Triglav last summer and used this book:
Tine Mihelic: Mountaineering in Slovenia: The Julian Alps and Kamnik and Savinja Alps
You can get it from amazon

It's pretty good with a bunch of routes in different difficulties. Most routes however are hiking/scrambling and not actual climbing.

Good maps can be found in bookstores and outdoor shops in Ljubljana.

cheers

Cheers for all your help everyone that's given me plenty to look at. I think the 'Zimski Vzponi' guide looks ideal so I'll try and track it down somewhere. Hvala Borut!!
