You have to say, around half of the people on summitpost are just fakes. There last online date was when they joined. They don't have pictures, power points, and arn't active at all. There's two many of them to delete

Duplicate accounts (by IP) should be disallowed, especially since dupe accounts exist to indulge one's Id otherwise civil or because they're returning bannees. Moderators and the powers that be should have forum tools to detect such activities.

What about situations like myself and my wife? We both have separate accounts at several different sites but we have a static IP at home. This would effectively ban us from SP if she had an account. While I agree with the thought, it isn't that simple.

Excellent point. Not to armchair moderate (possibly worse than armchair mountaineering), if your profiles are distinct, id est, made evident by separate profile photos, registry logs, etc, etc, that would make it more clear. However, I would be suspicious of ghost accounts where every field is effectively left empty.

Best to delete the post itself too. Bad actors have plenty to gain by planting links to their sites from SP. Deleting an avatar doesn't remove the incentive to make the inappropriate post in the first place.
