We just got our permits (to plaza argentina). As far as they could tell us at there, even plaza argentina should be accessable. It has been pretty cold the last few days in Los Puquios but the temperature will rise the next few days.

It has been cold and extremely windy in the mountains the last couple of days. I can really confirm that as lots of tents were blown to shreds at 4200m in Cordon del Plata two nights ago.
A mountaineering company here in Uspallata says the route to Plaza Argentina is open now. They sent clients there today.
