Newest SP Members

by Holsti97 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 12:38 pm

The same newest members have been on the front page for several days now. I'm sure SP has added new members since then. Why hasn't the newest members section changed? I enjoy seeing who has joined the SP family every day.

Actually, nobody joined since Nov 9th. Only users with profile shots are displayed on the front page anyway. Should explain the lack of traffic.

On the other hand - maybe registration has been broken after Aaron crashed the server ...

I'll alert Matt to make sure it's not broken, but I've noticed traffic slowing down in general. I think folks are busy, and this will only increase as the holiday season approaches.

People are also getting addicted to the facebook and twitter drugs.

Facebook and Twitter are certainly pervasive drugs to be concerned about, but I don't think they hold a candle to SP's addictive qualities! We're all hopelessly unable to disconnect ourselves!

I got in touch with Matt and we've gone over a few things. It's possible my IP address incident caused this or somehow exacerbated an already present problem, but I informed Matt the problem was happening before that. While trying to get Husker back on SP, SP would not return a confirmation email.

Anyway, the problem is now fixed.

We hope. :D
