What time you wanna meet?

So hilarious...how many times have you had this conversation?

...
So, what are you thinking?

I dunno. What time does it get light?

Around 5, I think.

Because, you know, you just end up wasting a lot of time hiking in the dark.

Did you hear about those guys who got benighted up there?

Yeah, but they were really slow. We should be fine. Anyway, I’ll bring the tag line in case we need to rap off.

But whatever do you mean, Wal---, uh, Andinistaloco?

I love rising early and getting on the route. I remember bivying in the Palisades some years back with Rick Kent. I said, 'Hey Rick, what time do you want to start in the morning?' He said 'I dunno, about 6, I guess'. My expression told him that I was hoping for something more "alpine." We started at 1am.

Yep, that's what I was thinking of. You always wanting to leave at 2 am, me wanting to leave at 10am, so us compromising and going at 6.

In the same vein:
what do you want to do? I
dunno, what do you want to do.
Well, we could do ______.
Naw, that's boring.
Well, what do you want to do.
Etc Etc -
with the result that nothing happens.

Climbing to me is like riding a sled. Just when we get near the rocks, somebody bails.
