Dude, this is the best snow I've seen in IL in years.

It's a bleedin shame there aren't any mountains here for it to fall onto...

Uh, yeah... I just finished moving about 700 tons of it out of the way so I could get out to the street. :P

2' as of last night's news, and powdery enough that snowshoes didn't do much better than the ol' hiking boots. You ever fall down with big snowshoes on in deep snow and then try to pick yourself up? No WAY could I get purchase with my hands so as to get back on my feet. Wish I had a video of that one, would make good youtube fodder...

But it's a pretty snow.....

They are forecasting another 8-10 inches of snow tomorrow in No. Illinois. It's suppose to be dry snow from Canada, like last time. This weekend could be a a great time to ski Devil's Head. It will be a rare chance to ski dry powder up there as compared with the icey snow that we typically get east of the Mississippi.

Just got done clearing the snow from my drive way and sidewalk. It's a sugar type of snow and very light. going to test out a new pair of skies today.

You guys didn't think winter was over yet here in the Midwest, did you? The next storm is on it's way. The forecast here in Chicago calls for 6-10" Monday-Tuesday!

I'm heading to the BWCA on Friday. Snow is forecast up there as well. Looks like I'll be breaking trail... Let the games begin! :)

Lucky man. I'm at home, wishing I had money to replace the balding tires on my car.

I just sold a set of snow tires, never thought of posting them here.

I'll be poking around Columbus Ohio this weekend. Something is bound to be in, I just have no belayers so I'll spend the time scouting new areas.
