Anyone know how much snow is up there now? For those of you who don't know this is near the Grant side of Guanella Pass.

I've been wondering that myself. If you are talking skiing the old runs, they always seems to have plenty of coverage everytime I've been there.

I was at the old Cuchara Ski area yesterday. I'm just a snowshoer, but the boarder I was with had a good time. South of the Arkansas Snowpack really improves.

I live about 2 drainages to the east and have been up around treeline a few times in the last week. Not much snow coverage. It was ok for cross country but I haven't even consider taking my rando gear up. We just haven't gotten much in this area this year.

I've heard there are XC trails around there, care to elaborate any on there location or what they are like? As good as brainard lake is, I need to explore some new areas.

Alot of the normal summer trails are packed out due to snowshoeing and XC sking. I live up Deer Creek near the Rosalie TH that leads to Guanella pass. It is XC skiable for about the first 5 or 6 miles but hasn't seen much traffic beyond there. Plenty of coverage for XC but not so much for true backcountry. If your willing to break some trail and brave the above treeline slopes you could put together some great loops in this area.
