Route information for Athabasca

by Grampahawk » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:27 pm

Can anyone recommend a good book that would have route information for Athabasca, Victoria, and other Canadian Rocky Mountains? Heading up there late July. Also looking for partners in case anyone's interested.

http://www.rmbooks.com/books/dousel.htm has been the standard for years but a newer guidebook is http://www.rmbooks.com/books/spring09/the_11000ers_of_the_canadian_rockies.html

What time of the year are you thinking of coming?

My wife and I climbed Victoria during the 1st week in August back in 06' and found the 11ers book by Bill Corbett to be the most helpful. You'll love the Victoria climb, however the final approach to the Hut, not so much!!
