You think of the Rif.Q.Sella next to Lyskamm? (There is at least one more Q.Sella at Montblanc, Tournette spur). If so, there is place enough and even the old hut serves as winter room.

If the guardian is up on the hut, the winter room remains locked I guess; don't know if the guardian allows camping in his neighbourhood nowadays, but I've seen tents in the vicinity of this hut years ago.

Yep, I refer to the hut near Lyskamm and Castor and we'd go there in July or August

When I was there in July 2008 there were 3 or 4 tents about 50m to the west of the refuge. Looked pretty grim in the snowstorm!
