Got Hives from Nikwax

I think I would wait till you clear up and then sleep in the bag for a night to confirm it. If it didn't kill you the first time it probably won't the second time.

Interesting. When I wear my down jacket, I break into hives. I use that product on it, too. I'm wondering if your on to something here.

But I never put the two and two together, until I read this.

I'll try washing it in something else and see if it goes away.

Is it the down-proof that you also use or just the down-wash?

Sometime in Feb. I washed my 2004 marmot helium EQ with nikwax down wash. Seemed ok, slept in it a few weeks ago. No hives. I've used the stuff before with no problem.

Never bothered with the down proof though .. can't see the point.
